Job Summary: The Planning Officer is responsible for coordinating and supporting projects, ensuring their effectiveness and alignment with the organization’s goals. They assist in analyzing expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities while overseeing project planning, inventory, cost control, and management. The role involves preparing and submitting planning data, generating reports, maintaining files, and providing input to the Planning Engineers.

- Principal Accountabilities:
- Assist in preparing planning data for Project Progress submittals, coordinating with Project Manager and Site Quantity Surveyor.
- Generate planning reports, including manpower requirements and material procurement reports as per the approved program.
- Maintain files and perform data input tasks as required by the Planning Engineers.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and utilizing innovative planning tools and techniques.
- Ensure adherence to established procedures and regulations in all planning processes.
- Monitor daily project progress and promptly communicate any potential delays or slippages to the Planning Engineer.
- Conduct regular comparisons between planned progress and actual progress, reporting any differences.
- Provide feedback on subcontractor schedule status to the Planning Manager/Planning Engineer.
- Prepare schedule updates and progress reports.
- Input progress updates and other information using software or Excel spreadsheets.
- Collaborate closely with project stakeholders and provide current status updates.
