Position Title: Construction Design and Evaluation Engineer

Job Summary: The Construction Design and Evaluation Engineer is responsible for studying and evaluating construction designs and blueprints to ensure the feasibility and structural integrity of proposed structures. The engineer will focus on safety and functionality rather than building styles, finishes, and aesthetics. They will identify and resolve issues in building plans, structures, and prototypes to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. Additionally, the engineer will manage and supervise site construction activities, coordinate with various disciplines, and perform other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Study and evaluate construction designs and blueprints to assess their feasibility and compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Ensure the structural integrity and safety of proposed structures by conducting detailed analysis and calculations.
- Identify and solve issues in building plans, structures, and prototypes, collaborating with the design team and other stakeholders.
- Manage and supervise site construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Design new concepts and prepare detailed plans using AutoCAD, Revit, and ArchiCAD software.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Material Take-Offs (MTO) to estimate project costs and material requirements accurately.
- Coordinate with all other disciplines involved in the project, including architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and mechanical engineers, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with design and safety requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams and subcontractors, resolving technical queries and clarifications.
- Collaborate with the project manager to address project-specific challenges and recommend suitable solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of design modifications, approvals, and construction activities.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, codes, and standards related to construction design and evaluation.
