Position: Health and Safety Officer
Job Summary: As a Health and Safety Officer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the proper installation and safe operation of equipment within the workplace. You will also be responsible for investigating employee injuries, accidents, and illnesses to identify their causes and implement preventive measures. Additionally, you will curate accurate reports based on statistical information to maintain site standards and monitor equipment functions. Conducting regular site inspections to assess potential risks for injuries, accidents, and equipment malfunctions will also be part of your role.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure correct and safe installation of equipment in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee injuries, accidents, and illnesses to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Compile and analyze statistical information related to workplace incidents and equipment functions to prepare accurate reports.
- Perform regular site inspections to assess potential risks and hazards associated with specific work settings or activities.
- Identify and implement necessary safety measures to prevent injuries, accidents, and equipment malfunction.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and deliver training programs on safety protocols, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in occupational health and safety.
- Assist in the development and review of health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to incidents, inspections, and safety initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding health and safety concerns.
- Utilize computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Office for report preparation and documentation.
