Position: Glass Plant Manager
Alutec is a leading glass manufacturing, building façade, and architectural interiors specialist based in Qatar. We are currently seeking a Glass Plant Manager to oversee the manufacturing process at our factory. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the production meets sales requirements while adhering to the company’s quality assurance standards. Your technical expertise and industry experience will be crucial in successfully managing the plant’s operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement policies, procedures, key performance indicators (KPIs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and reporting structures to monitor plant/production activities. Resolve operational issues to ensure compliance with project and company goals, both short-term and long-term.
- Analyze sales, production output, labor input, raw material intake, electricity consumption, and other resource usage. Develop and implement best practices to optimize production efficiency and enhance safety measures.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to plant personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Establish programs for plant training, upskilling, and succession planning to align with the short-term and long-term business strategies.
- Manage the master production schedule, work-in-progress inventory, and the generation and execution of site schedules.
- Drive a LEAN/Continuous Improvement (CI) cost-saving program through your team, aiming to reduce operating expenditure within the business.
