Job Title: Project Coordinator for Vulnerability & Carbon Monoxide Allowance (VCMA)
Salary: Competitive starting salary from £31,290 per annum
Location: Sunderland, UK (Network-wide based)
Contract: Personal / Fixed-term contract until the end of March 2026
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Bonus: Up to 5% bonus

Job Description: The Project Coordinator for Vulnerability & Carbon Monoxide Allowance (VCMA) will be part of the Social Strategy Team and will be responsible for supporting the delivery of NGN’s Customers in Vulnerable Situations Strategy, VCMA Strategy, and related commitments for GD2 (Gas Distribution price control). The role involves managing projects funded through the VCMA and reporting directly to the Social Strategy Programme Manager. Close collaboration with the Vulnerability Innovation Lead will be required for activities such as the Carbon Monoxide Awareness Strategy and new projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaison with key stakeholders: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, identifying stakeholders necessary for successful VCMA project delivery, and supporting working groups like Infrastructure North and Utilities Together.
- Collaboration: Identifying areas of collaboration across different workstreams and ensuring visibility of referral and support networks across NGN’s geographical footprint through Business Operational Leaders (BOLs). Maintaining a link with NGN’s Vulnerability Trainer.
- Compliance: Ensuring that all initiatives and approved projects comply with relevant Licence Obligations and are aligned with GD2 Business Plan commitments. Supporting reaccreditation of ISO 22458 Inclusive Service Provision Kitemark and annual Regulatory Reporting to Ofgem.
- Audit: Meeting internal audit requirements, particularly related to the Priority Services Register (PSR) and Carbon Monoxide (CO) obligations.
