The Group Chief Commercial Development Officer plays a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the productivity and effectiveness of the individual commercial business units within the group. Their responsibilities include:
- Participating in the establishment of the business strategy for each business unit and leading it in collaboration with the Directors of those units, aiming for the most effective and successful outcomes.
- Ensuring that all financial and strategic targets are defined and achieved by each business unit.
- Leading the development and implementation of strategies for various business units such as Hospitality, Healthcare, Education, Communities, Insurance, Manufacturing, Real Estate, and Facility Care. These strategies should align with the overall corporate objectives.
- Collaborating with the business unit Directors and the Head of Strategy to set the necessary financial and strategic targets, ensuring that the revenue and EBITDA goals are met.
- Working with the business units to identify opportunities for cross-selling across different products and services offered by them.
- Establishing Corporate Performance Management frameworks, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and conducting periodic performance reporting sessions (monthly or quarterly) for each business unit.
- Defining and enforcing Service Level Agreements and targets for business units that rely on outsourced operators or external parties for the provision of services or products.
- Maintaining relationships with government agencies, clients, banks, and other relevant external stakeholders, while consistently managing and monitoring these relationships.
- Promoting a culture of “quality of service” within the entire team at all levels and at all times.
