Job Description: Brand Sales Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Brand Sales Manager to lead the sales efforts and drive business growth for our assigned categories/products across various distribution channels. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and achieving sales targets, closely monitoring stock and sales performance, and effectively collaborating with the distributor’s sales and merchandising teams to ensure the successful execution of sales strategies. This role requires a strong focus on achieving volume, value, and profitability targets while maintaining a direct relationship with key customers and retail buyers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the budget/target process for assigned categories/products by distribution channel.
- Set and achieve volume/value/distributor’s budget commitments for the year.
- Monitor stock and sales performance on a daily basis to ensure the monthly/yearly sales budget is met.
- Achieve target profitability by product and family of products.
- Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with the distributor’s team to guide, direct, and assist in the execution of sales fundamentals such as reach, availability, visibility, pricing, and promotional activities.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to generate Proforma Invoices (PIs) and Purchase Orders (POs) to maintain a steady supply of stocks to the distributor and avoid out-of-stock situations.
- Develop and implement brand plans to achieve top-line, bottom-line, and market share growth at the distributor’s side.
- Set sales forecasts based on market trends to align with company objectives.
- Determine the sell-in (PTT) and sell-out (RSP) prices in line with market trends and brand positioning.
- Analyze and derive actionable insights from weekly retail audits, summarizing findings and areas of improvement for management.
- Ensure the correct implementation of visibility and planograms by the sales and merchandising teams.
- Provide continuous insights on channel, category, and shopper trends.
- Generate innovative promotional ideas to enhance brand image, drive consumer engagement, and add value.
- Conduct launching plan sessions for new ranges with the sales and merchandising teams.
- Regularly review business performance with key accounts, implementing activities to meet sales targets.
- Track, monitor, and report on key competitor activities, providing insights and plans to drive a competitive advantage.
- Collaborate with the distributor’s teams to identify potential products for development based on customer insights and needs.
- Analyze sales admin reports and provide recommendations and action plans based on intelligence.
The role requires spending 60% of the time in the market, including weekly meetings with the distributor’s category manager and direct interaction with key customers and retail buyers. The remaining 40% of the time will be allocated to reporting, analysis, and meeting other key performance indicators (KPIs).
